Smothered Pork Chops - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. pork chops, cut thick
2 unpeeled lemons, sliced
1 large sweet onion, cut in rings
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 green pepper, cut in rings
1 tsp. salt
2 c. tomato juice
Preparation

Wipe meat with cold cloth.
Place in a large covered skillet. Cover top of chops with lemon, onion and pepper.
Sprinkle with salt.
Dot with margarine and pour tomato juice over top.
Cover and simmer on top of stove for 1 1/2 hours or until chops are tender.
Serves 6 to 8.
