Maple Nut Chiffon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. double action baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cooking oil
    6 unbeaten egg yolks
    3/4 c. cold water
    1/2 tsp. maple extract
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans or walnuts, chopped fine
    1 c. egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Beat in large bowl until very stiff.
    Pour egg yolk mixture over whites, while folding in with rubber spatula.
    Bake in ungreased pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
