Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Put sugar, Karo and water in iron skillet; stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Increase heat until mixture boils. Boil until fine thread draining from upheld spoon can be blown away.
    Add peanuts; stir so it will not scorch until syrup becomes a light amber color.
    Stir in butter and add soda.
    Stir and empty at once into a buttered pan.
    Spread out thin.
    Let it get completely cold, then give pan a twist and it will come out of pan in one piece.
