Ingredients

1 qt. milk
1/2 c. rice
2 beaten eggs
1 c. canned cream
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Boil rice and milk (when it comes to a boil, cover and simmer).
Cook until rice is tender.
It will be very milky. Remove from stove and add remaining ingredients, except raisins. Put back on heat, just until it returns to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add raisins, if desired.
Cool, covered.
