Cheri'S Creamy Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dry bean soup mix
    2 qt. water
    ham hock or bone
    1 large onion, chopped
    16 oz. tomato juice
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped carrots
    3 chopped tomatoes
    2 c. skim milk
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Wash beans and place in large bowl.
    Cover with water.
    Add 1 tablespoon salt.
    Soak overnight.
    Drain, rinse.
    Add 2 quarts water and ham hock.
    Boil, simmer 2 1/2 hours.
    Add onion, celery, carrots, tomato juice, lemon juice, and tomatoes.
    Simmer 1/2 to 1 hour.
    Add milk.
    Serve.
