Upside-Down Date Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Combine ingredients.
    Pour over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
    Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Makes 9 servings.
