Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg
2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 tsp. hot water
Preparation

Mix and form into 2 rolls.
Place in refrigerator overnight. Slice about 1/2-inch thick and bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
