Ingredients

1 large orange
1 lemon
1 grapefruit
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Wash, remove peel and cut peel into thin slices.
Add 1 quart water to peel; boil 5 minutes.
Drain; add 1 quart fresh water. Boil; repeat 3 more times.
Remove seeds and strings from fruits. Slice the fruit; add to boiling peel.
Add twice as much water as fruit mix; boil 40 minutes.
Add equal amount of sugar as fruit mix; boil now until thick and amber colored, usually about 25 minutes.
