Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana Ii - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. or less Italian sausage
    2 large baking potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 can real bacon bits or sliced chopped fried bacon
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 c. kale or Swiss chard, chopped
    2 can chicken broth
    1 qt. water
    1 c. heavy cream (can use fat-free half and half)
Preparation
    Cook sausage at 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour. Drain on paper towel and cut into slices. Cook potatoes, onion, chicken broth, water and garlic in pot on medium heat until potatoes are done. Add sausage, bacon and salt and pepper to taste.
    Simmer for another 10 minutes. Turn heat to low. Add kale and cream. Heat through (do not boil) and serve.
