Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. molasses
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt shortening.
Cool; add molasses and eggs and beat well. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and soda together.
Add alternately with milk to first mixture.
Add raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
