Cottage Cheese Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
    1 (12 oz.) small curd cottage cheese
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 (20 oz.) or less crushed pineapple
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; heat liquid and add jello.
    Let cool and add cottage cheese, pineapple and pecans.
    Mix, then fold in Cool Whip.
    Pour into a large, flat dish and chill until firm.
