French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. very warm water
    4 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water.
    Add sugar, salt, oil and the 1 cup water and mix well.
    Add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well.
    Let rise 10 minutes.
    Knead down every 5 minutes times 5. Divide into 2 balls and let rise 10 minutes.
    Roll each ball out like a jelly roll and roll up.
    Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Cut each loaf part way down every inch.
    Cover with towel and let rise 1 1/2 hours.
    Bake 35 minutes at 375\u00b0.
