Penne In A Basil Meat Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1/3 c. dry vermouth
    1 Tbsp. tomato paste
    1 Tbsp. fresh basil, chopped (dried may be substituted)
    1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
    2 lb. beef stew meat, cut in 1/2-inch cubes and browned
    1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
    5 large ripe tomatoes, blanched and peeled
    1 can Italian plum tomatoes
    1 lb. Italian sausage, browned
    1 Tbsp. fresh cracked black pepper
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Heat olive oil and saute garlic until smell is strong, but do not burn.
    Add all of remaining ingredients.
    Simmer for one hour.
