Grandma'S Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 eggs
1 c. margarine
1/4 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. buttermilk
3 Tbsp. walnut flavoring
1 c. fresh black walnuts
Preparation

Grease and flour tube pan.
Beat eggs well.
Blend margarine, shortening and sugar together with eggs.
Sift flour, soda and salt.
Add flour mixture, buttermilk and walnut flavoring alternately to sugar mixture.
Stir in black walnuts.
Cook in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
