Hot Gingered Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can Cling peaches
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pineapple slices
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can apricot halves
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can pear halves
    1 (6 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    3/4 c. light brown sugar
Preparation
    Drain syrup from all fruit, reserving 2 tablespoons pineapple syrup.
    Dry fruit well on paper towel.
    Arrange fruit in 2-quart casserole with cherries on the top.
    Melt margarine with ginger, stir in reserved pineapple syrup and brown sugar.
    Heat until well blended and pour over fruit.
    Bake, uncovered, in 325\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes.
