Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Cook in hot oil (375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0) until golden brown on one side.
Turn and cook until brown on other side.
Makes about 20 to 30 hush puppies.
