Garlic Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 large potatoes
    garlic salt
    1 1/2 sticks margarine
    Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Peel and slice each potato fairly thin.
    Layer pieces in well buttered baking dish, 3 or 4 layers.
    Between each layer, sprinkle liberally with garlic salt and dot with lots of margarine.
    Cover with foil and bake at 350\u00b0 approximately 1 hour or until potatoes are tender.
    Grated cheese can be added to the potatoes about 5 minutes before end of cooking time if desired.
