Tomatoes With Stale Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. tomato juice or canned tomatoes
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    milk
    1 c. grated Longhorn cheese
    1 Tbsp. oleo
    6 stale biscuits or 4 slices stale bread, toasted
Preparation
    Bring tomatoes or juice to boil.
    Add soda and salt.
    Keep boiling.
    Add thickening made of 2 level tablespoons of cornstarch and enough milk to make a smooth paste to which add 3 tablespoons of the hot tomatoes.
    Add this to boiling tomatoes, along with the Longhorn cheese and oleo.
    Gently stir in either the biscuits or bread, broken into pieces.
