Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. quick cooking oats (not instant)
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt onto waxed paper.
Reserve.
Beat together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until fluffy. Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
Stir in oats and chocolate pieces.
Drop batter by rounded tablespoonful 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.
