Ham And Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sliced, peeled potatoes, cooked
    1 c. diced, cooked ham
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    dash of white pepper (optional)
    dash of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, ham and onion in a greased 1-quart casserole; set aside.
    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
    Stir in flour until smooth.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles.
    Add cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
    Stir until cheese melts.
    Pour over potato mixture.
    Stir gently to mix.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes. Recipe serves 2.
    It can be doubled or tripled for family.
