Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand.
    Cream sugars and margarine.
    Beat eggs into mix.
    Add vanilla and softened oatmeal. Sift remaining ingredients together.
    Add to other mixture and blend.
    Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Leave in pan and pour icing over warm cake.
