Fresh Apple Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 fresh apples, peeled and sliced
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. water
    1 yellow cake mix
    1 stick oleo, melted
    1 c. quick cook rolled oats
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Spread apples in 9 x 15-inch (2 1/2 to 3-quart) baking dish. Sprinkle spices, sugar and water.
    Mix next 3 ingredients and sprinkle over apples.
    Spread pecans over topping.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    If browns too fast, reduce heat to 325\u00b0 for last 1/2 hour.
    Serve hot with ice cream or Cool Whip.
