Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 very large onions, diced
1 bell pepper, diced super-fine
1/3 stick Land 'O Lakes butter
4 cans Great Northern beans (not drained)
1 1/4 pkg. Hillshire Farms polka kielbasa sausage, sliced in narrow rounds
basil leaves to fill hollow of hand
rosemary (same amount as basil)
Tony Chaderis creole seasoning to taste (begin with less than 1 Tbsp.)
extra cayenne pepper to taste (begin with less than 1/4 tsp.)
2 tsp. sugar and lots of black pepper
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
milk (1 bean can full)
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
Preparation

Melt butter in large pot.
Saute onions and bell pepper, add beans with juice.
Add everything else but milk and cheese. Simmer a little while, taste and add more ingredients according to cravings.
Add milk and Parmesan cheese last (extra sharp Cheddar is great, too).
Return to boil.
Cover.
Turn off.
Leave it alone.
Reheat later, when ready to serve and serve with cornbread.
Makes 10 servings.
