Grandma Jacobs' Prune Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped prunes
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Mix the flour, soda, nutmeg, allspice, salt and sugar.
In separate bowl, mix oil, eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
Add to dry ingredients; mix just until all ingredients are moist.
Cook prunes just enough to soften them, then chop.
Fold in prunes and walnuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, or until done.
Makes 2 loaves.
