Kraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can kraut
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1 tsp. dill seed
    2 Tbsp. diced pimento
    1/2 c. chopped onion
Preparation
    Stir sugar and vinegar together and bring to boil; allow to cool.
    Drain and chop kraut well.
    Mix oil, pepper, celery, dill seed, pimento and onion; toss and pour sugar-vinegar mixture over. Set overnight and drain.
