24 Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks, beaten stiffly
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/4 c. whipping cream (unwhipped)
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks until stiff; add sugar, salt, lemon and cream. Stir together in double boiler until thick.
    (Don't worry if curdles.)
    Cool.
    Beat remaining pint of whipped cream.
    Add to salad.
