Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, sliced
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1 tsp. salt
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1 bay leaf
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. cut-up fryer
    1 (4 oz.) can drained mushrooms
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 to 2 tsp. oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. celery
Preparation
    Place onion in crock-pot.
    Add chicken.
    Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
    Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours; high for 3 to 4 hours.
    Good served over hot buttered spaghetti. May also be cooked in the oven.
