The Really Great Bean Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can cut green beans
    1 lb. can cut wax beans
    1 lb. or larger can kidney beans
    1 pkg. frozen lima beans, cooked
    1 lb. can garbanzos
    1 red onion, chopped or thinly sliced
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 c. chopped celery
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. wine vinegar (red)
    3/4 c. salad oil
    1/2 tsp. salt (to taste)
    1 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Drain all vegetables and combine in a large bowl.
    Mix sugar with vinegar; add oil and seasonings and pour over vegetables. Stir well and refrigerate overnight.
    Stir several times to marinate.
    Drain before serving.
    Serves 12 to 14.
