Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    4 c. milk
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/4 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Put cornmeal, milk, butter, sugar, salt and egg yolks in a 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
    Stir constantly.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold into cooked mixture.
    Blend thoroughly.
