Banberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) container strawberries (save juice)
    3 medium bananas
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    3 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. strawberry juice plus water
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 (9 or 10-inch) pie shell, baked
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch and sugar in a saucepan.
    Stir in the salt and liquid.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool.
    Add lemon juice and berries.
    Slice bananas into pie shell.
    Pour berry mixture over them and chill at least 2 hours.
    Just before serving, top with sweetened whipped cream.
    Makes one 9-inch pie.
