Low-Fat Low-Cholesterol Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. low-fat margarine or oil
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 2/3 c. cold water
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    3 eggs whites
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour one (13 x 9-inch) baking pan or one Bundt form.
    In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add 1/3 cup cold water, cocoa and vanilla, mixing well.
    Add flour alternately with 1 cup water, beating after each addition.
    In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites lightly; gradually add 3/4 cup sugar.
    Beat until stiff peaks form.
    Fold beaten egg whites into batter.
    Dissolve soda in remaining 1/3 cup water; stir into batter.
    Pour batter into prepared pans.
    Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool on racks before removing from pans.
