Spicy Apple Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. light brown sugar
    3/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
    1/2 c. oleo or butter
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. grated lemon peel
    2/3 c. sour cream
    2 large eggs
    1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and sliced thin (1 c.)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar and spice in ungreased 8-inch square pan with a fork.
    Add butter and stir until crumbly.
    Set aside 1/2 cup.
