Salad Greens: spinach, romaine, butter head or leaf lettuce
Onions: scallions, red onion, sweet yellow onion, or shallots
Fruit: strawberries, drained canned mandarin oranges, grapes, dried apricots, etc.
Nuts: pecans, sliced almonds, walnuts, pignoli (pine nuts) or peanuts
Salad dressing: raspberry vinaigrette, poppy seed, Vidalia onion, white balsamic vinaigrette, or dressing for fruit
Preparation

Choose one from each category. Tear lettuce or spinach into pieces. Slice onions into ringlets or chop. Slice fruit if desired. Toast nuts if desired. Mix, serve with dressing on the side.
