Creamed Chipped Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried beef
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. cream (heavy cream)
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Soak beef in cold water 15 minutes (drain).
    Pick into thin pieces.
    Melt 1 tablespoon butter in pan.
    Put in beef and brown. Add milk and cream.
    Bring to
    boil; thicken with flour, mixed to a smooth paste with balance of butter (1 tablespoon).
    Stir constantly until it boils.
    Serve over toast.
    Serves 6.
