Skier'S French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1 loaf unsliced French bread
    5 eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine the corn syrup, butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan; simmer until syrupy.
    Pour this mixture over the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
    Slice bread into 10 (1 to 1 1/2-inch) thick slices.
    Place over the sugar-butter mixture.
