Mama Mutt'S Okra Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. cut fresh okra
    1 c. cooking oil
    1/3 c. flour
    1/3 c. onions
    1/3 c. bell peppers
    1 lb. smoked sausage, sliced
    2 cans lima beans (green)
    2 lb. fresh shrimp
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Brown okra in 1/2 cup oil in saucepan. Drain okra, removing excess oil.
    Put okra aside.
    Using remaining 1/2 cup oil, mix flour and brown the flour making a roux.
    Add onions and bell peppers to the roux and saute for 3 minutes. Add smoked sausage to roux mixture. Add lima beans to roux mixture.
    Add 2 cups water and cook over medium heat for 25 minutes. Add fresh shrimp. Cook for 5 minutes.
    Add okra and cook 2 minutes longer.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
