1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. butter flavored Crisco
2 eggs
1/4 c. light corn syrup or regular pancake syrup
3 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine sugar and Crisco until well blended; beat well.
Add eggs and syrup and beat well.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Add gradually to creamed mixture.
Divide dough into 4 parts.
Refrigerate 1 hour. Bake 5 to 9 minutes.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
