Lucy'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 envelopes dream whip
    1 half pound can crushed pineapple (drained)
    3 envelopes Knox gelatin
    1 1/2 cups sweet milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup pecans (cut up)
    1 small bottle cherries (cut up)
    1 can angel flake coconut
    1 angel food cake
    4 Tbsp. cold water
    1 cup boiling water
Preparation
    Bake angel food cake according to package directions, cool. Dissolve gelatin in 4 Tbsp. cold water, add hot water and stir until dissolved - add pineapple, sugar, lemon juice - put in refrigerator to set or thicken.
    Whip 2 envelopes dream whip with 1 cup sweet milk and 1/2 tsp. vanilla - add this to the gelatin mixture - break up angel food cake in large pan - add the gelatin mixture, nuts and cherries, mix thoroughly.
    Grease tub pan - spoon mixture into pan and press down.
    Chill overnight - ice with 1 package dream whip and 1/2 cup milk.
    Spread with coconut and cherries.
