Buttermilk Puffs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg or mace
    1 egg
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add wet ingredients gently with a fork.
    Drop by teaspoon into deep fat at 375\u00b0.
    Roll in powdered or granulated sugar.
    Do not make too large or they won't cook through.
    When removing from fat, drain on brown grocery bag.
