Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add egg, milk and shortening.
Stir lightly.
Pour into well-greased 9 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
