Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. melted bacon fat
    1 small can cream-style corn
    1/2 lb. grated cheese
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 jalapeno peppers, minced
Preparation
    Mix meal, soda and salt.
    Beat eggs slightly and add to buttermilk; then stir into dry ingredients.
    Add bacon fat; stir in corn.
    Mix cheese, garlic, onion and peppers.
    Add to meal mixture.
    Pour into greased pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
