Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 sticks margarine (room temperature)
2 c. flour, sifted
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. black walnuts (4 1/4 oz.)
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 large eggs
Preparation

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Beat at high speed for 5 minutes.
Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Test for doneness with toothpick.
Cool a few minutes in pan.
Turn out onto cooling rack.
Cool thoroughly before storing; wrap with plastic.
