Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
12 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 c. white vinegar
parsley
Preparation

Bring water to a boil.
Add salt, 12 tablespoons of sugar and pepper.
Boil for a few minutes.
Cool slightly.
Add vinegar. While warm, add sliced cucumbers and onion rings.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of dried parsley, if desired.
Refrigerate a few hours before serving.
