Texas Style Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground chuck
    1 lb. hot bulk sausage
    3 medium onions, chopped
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 c. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. ground oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
    3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
    1/2 large green pepper, chopped
Preparation
    Combine ground chuck, sausage, onions, pepper and garlic in a Dutch oven; cook until meat is browned, stirring to crumble. Drain well.
    Stir in next 6 ingredients.
    Cover and simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally.
    Add beans and simmer 20 to 30 minutes longer.
    Makes about 5 quarts.
