Dolly'S Uncooked Mints - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. hot water
    5 drops oil of peppermint
    food coloring, your choice
Preparation
    Mix ingredients thoroughly.
    Add more powdered sugar as needed to make a stiff dough.
    It takes about 1/2 box of sugar. Roll out on board to desired thickness.
    Cut with small mint cutters.
    Let stand on wax paper uncovered overnight.
    Place in container.
    It will freeze well.
    Yields: 60 mints.
    You can buy oil of peppermint at drug store.
