Brazil Nut Coffee Cake Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. sugar
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1/2 c. Crisco, softened
1 egg
1 egg, separated
1 c. chopped Brazil nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Sift flour, baking powder, 1 cup sugar and 3
teaspoons
cinnamon\tinto large bowl.
Add butter and Crisco, while egg and
egg\tyolk.
With
electric mixer on low speed mix well.
Turn into 15
1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Spread evenly with spatula or pat with hands.
With fork beat
egg white
slightly;\tbrush
over
dough.
Combine remaining 1/3 cup sugar,
1
teaspoon
cinnamon
and\tnuts and sprinkle over top of dough.
Bake 25 minutes or until nuts are golden brown. Cool in pan; cut into 2 x 1 inch bars.
Makes 6 dozen depending on size of cuts.
Do not overcook.
