Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. frozen coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation

Cream Crisco and margarine.
Add sugar and beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and beat well.
Combine flour and soda.
Add to creamed mixture, alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in vanilla. Add coconut and nuts; fold in egg whites.
Bake in 3 greased 8 or 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 or 30 minutes.
