1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. butter Crisco
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat at medium speed until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda.
Mix into creamed mixture just until blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoons of dough on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake one sheet at a time at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
Cool 2 minutes before removing from sheet.
