Czechoslovakian Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 jar black raspberry or blackberry jam

Preparation

Cream the butter or margarine and sugar.
Add egg yolk, flour and nuts.
Spread half of this mixture in ungreased square pan. Spread with jam.
Top with remaining cake mixture.
Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
Cut in squares.
