Cabbage Tamales Or One-Dish Dinner - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    raw rice
    hamburger meat
    catsup
    cabbage
    relishes
Preparation
    To each pound of hamburger, mix:
    one cup raw rice, salt and pepper.
    Add chopped onion, pepper and celery according to family's taste or omit this entirely.
    Shape into tamales.
    Wrap in one or more cabbage leaves; pin with a toothpick.
    Place the cabbage tamales gently in a cooking pot.
    To each pound hamburger, etc., add 1 cup catsup and 1/2 cup water.
    Let reach a boil, then cut heat to lowest point.
    Let simmer until done or 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Do not stir.
    This 1-dish dinner is delicious served with cabbage slaw (using up remainder of cabbage) and hot corn bread or rolls.
